A Highly Qualified Specialist work permit is a special document allowing foreign professionals to work in Russia under preferential conditions.
Unlike standard procedures where permits are valid for up to one year, Highly Qualified Specialist permits are issued for up to three years with unlimited extension possibilities without leaving Russia, valid for the duration of the employment or service contract.

Effective March 1, 2024, the minimum quarterly salary requirement is 750,000 rubles. Exceptions apply for certain categories:
